Job Description
Please note, the information as set forth below is based on the job description for an entry level Human Resources Intern. The projects in which an intern will participate will vary, depending on education level and plant, but will model the duties below to the extent possible.
Under the guidance of appropriate supervisory personnel, a Human Resources/Labor Relations Intern will assist in recruiting, employment, job postings and employee transfers; new employee orientation and training; administering human resources policies and programs; administering employee compensation, benefits, relocation, and immigration programs; coordinating/facilitating performance review process for client departments; preparing, maintaining, and retrieving applicant and employee records; collecting, analyzing and reporting data and information; preparing, reviewing and processing documents, including reports, memos, letters, spreadsheets and presentations; and various other duties to support the business.
Candidates should generally be enrolled in a Bachelor’s degree program in human resources, labor relations or another business related field, have completed at least their sophomore year of study by the Summer of 2012.
In addition, ArcelorMittal generally does not sponsor candidates for temporary visas or permanent residency at this level.
