Job Description
Please note the information as set forth below is based on the job description for entry level systems analysts. The projects in which an intern will participate will vary, depending on education level and assignment, but will model the duties below to the extent possible:
Applications Systems Analyst
Under the guidance of appropriate senior personnel, you will be introduced to Change Management processes, a development environment, and software development principles to deliver change requests for the business. Systems analyst responsibilities may include: developing project plans, developing code specifications, coding, designing functional test conditions, test scenarios & test data, executing tests, reviewing test results, resolving errors, participating in product readiness testing, participating in root cause analysis, or documentation. A systems analyst is expected to deliver quality results on time to meet business requirements. Your assignment can involve all or a few of the above responsibilities & provide support to a variety of functional business areas from Commercial, Manufacturing or Finance. You may also participate in process improvement efforts & perform other team/project role tasks as resource requirements & skill sets dictate. You will be expected to adhere to business & departmental procedures. Development work would likely be in .Net, VB & SQL.
Candidates should be enrolled in a Bachelor’s degree program in Information Systems or Computer Science, have completed at least their sophomore year of study by the Summer of 2012; and have a GPA of at least 3.20
