Job Description

Please note the information as set forth below is based on the job description for entry level systems analysts.  The projects in which an intern will participate will vary, depending on education level and assignment, but will model the duties below to the extent possible:

Under the guidance of appropriate senior personnel, you will work with key business staff to understand their business processes, identify opportunities for improvement, recommend solutions, and help build business cases for change.  Business analysts need to maintain competency of new technologies, have knowledge of general IT development practices, project management principles and have problem solving skills in order to identify viable, cost effective solutions to improve the business.  The business analyst will be the interface point between business and information technology.  You will work with the business as well as work with information technology to develop technology solutions.  Your assignment can be in a variety of IT disciplines based on skills and requirements to build the necessary experience to become an effective business analyst.

Candidates should be enrolled in a Bachelor’s degree program in Information Technology or a  relevant business degree with a concentration of Information Technology courses, have completed at least their sophomore year of study by the Summer of 2012;  and have a GPA of at least 3.40
