Job Description
The company is looking to recruit interns to gain exposure to Supply Chain Management, Planning, and Logistics as ArcelorMittal continues to grow. Each intern will be assigned meaningful projects through the entire supply chain management area during an approximate 3-month internship period to gain an enriched, exciting, hands-on experience.
Duties include but are not limited to the following:
- Manage value-added projects involving cost, capacity, asset utilization, and improved cycle time
- Resolve expediting or scheduling issues for operating areas and logistics
- Balance sales forecast with internal unit capabilities
- Operations Planning & Scheduling of our internal operations and logistics throughout the USA
- Be a part of the management of the supply chain network outside our operations through contracts with suppliers for transportation, warehousing, and steel processing across Canada, USA and Mexico
- Develop and manage key supply chain performance metrics
- Develop and communicate the required information to allow effective management of our supply chain operations
ArcelorMittal generally requires internship candidates to be working towards a Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business or a related degree for this position. In addition, the Company generally does not sponsor candidates for temporary visas or permanent residency at the Bachelor’s level.
